Nationwide Ethnic Transport Training (NETT) provides
driver training to individuals from all communities who want to build a career
as HGV or PCV drivers.
NETT delivers guidance and training
that enables trainees to access the road haulage, distribution and transport
industries.
The
Trainee drivers enter our top quality training programme with varying levels of
skills and expertise and graduate with a full driving licence, ready to take to
the road delivering goods and services anywhere in the UK. NETT equips all its
trainees with high standards of customer care and all the competency required of
modern day HGV and PCV drivers; trainees can become qualified up to NVQ level 2
& 3 in driving heavy goods vehicles.
By
working with a wide variety of partners and related agencies, NETT is able to
provide fully qualified drivers with advanced skills to Britain's transport and
haulage industries.
Over a 10 - 16 week training period
NETT can provide any potential driver with all the instruction they need to
become a top-quality job-ready driver.
An initial interview will establish what training and
development the potential driver needs before training begins. The NETT training
programme includes.
• Driver theory
• Map reading and route planning
• Drivers hours and Tachograph regulations
• Health and Safety, and First Aid
• Customer care
• Job search
• NVQ Level 2/3 of Driving HGV
All trainee drivers will sit assessments and a final
examination as well as undergo a medical examination.
All trainee drivers will be capable of progressing to a
higher category driving licence such as Cat D (Bus), Cat C (Rigid) or Cat C+E
(Articulated).
